About us

Weddings by KARA is Karina and Rachel, a creative duo specialising in both wedding planning and photography.

Karina is an award-winning photographer. She grew up in Cascais, Portugal, and after completing her degree at Trinity College Dublin, she began working as a stills photographer for film and television before turning her eye to weddings. Eventually, she co-founded Weddings by KARA with Rachel.  Karina's style seeks to unveil something raw and unposed in her subjects, while maintaining artful composition in exquisite and flattering light.

Rachel holds a BA in Media Production from DCU and an MA from Trinity College Dublin, she began working for the United Nations in SE Asia, where she developed her skills in media and communications. After returning to Europe, she co-founded Weddings by KARA with Karina.  

Rachel leads the wedding planning side of Weddings by KARA, ensuring every detail of the day is as beautiful and seamless as Karina's photography.
