Sammy & Ryan had a stylish & elegant celebration in the historic Kilkea Castle in Co. Kildare, Ireland. Kilkea Castle is steeped in history, known as one of the oldest inhabited castles in Ireland, with a history dating back to 1180.
Sammy who was born in the USA met Ryan, an Irishman in Las Vegas, whilst Sammy was Irish dancing in a show. Their unique love story was a pleasure to photograph and their wedding day was exquisite in every way.
They both spent the night before their wedding in Kilkea Castle so they were onsite the next morning for their wedding prep. Each preparing for their day in separate courtyard cottages on the castle grounds.
Their ceremony took place in the beautiful Church of the Assumption in Castledermot which is a short 8 minute drive from the Castle. After the ceremony we spent some time in the historic church ruins capturing some intimate couple photographs along with some bridal party photos.
Upon returning to Kilkea Castle, their guests enjoyed a drinks reception on the lawn followed by a delicious meal in the dinning hall. They partied the night away with a fusion of traditional Irish songs and modern classics. It was a joy to be chosen as their wedding photographers and we loved putting their beautiful blog together. x
